It’s not your mother’s hair product… Girl Powder!
Well, you got me with the name. I’m a total sucker for fantastic branding and packaging.
While backstage this NYFW, I came across a new line of hairstyling products. And might I say, I’m totally obsessed. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a bottle of product that I had yet to know of. Let me tell you, I tried their volumizing dry powder, and after that I was hooked. It’s been my new secret go to product. I work with a lot of celebrities on a daily basis and if any group of people are product obsessed its the celebrity community. Even though I am sponsored by a great hair product company, this product was something that I have yet to see anywhere else.
The first time I used the product, it blew my mind and I saw real results the second it was applied.
Not only did this product do what it promised but it continued to perform throughout the day.
I took my hair and starting from the lower crown of the head, separate hair with one continual line.
Now, while holding up the top section lightly dust the powder to the root-line. Flip the hair back over and with your fingertips in a few quick rubs back and forth you’ve now got about an extra inch of volume, lift, and texture to your hair.
Continue upward, repeating this step around the crown of your head. All you need is about two rows in the back crown area and one maybe two on each side of you head. Remember, a little goes a long way so no need to over apply this magic powder. I would avoid applying directly on the top of your head or directly to where your hair will be parted. It seams to look the best when you have a bit of natural/product free roots wherever you’ve decided to style the top area.
The volume is great because it doesn’t stop working throughout the day. All you need to do to give you that little extra zhush is rub the roots a few times where the product was applied and
bada-bing! You look like you have the best rockstar hair ever. And come on who doesn’t like that rockstar look to begin with? I know I do!
